Interactive Multi-touch POSH VIEW Display Technology allows homebuilders to tour their homes before they are built.
CALGARY, Alberta – February 22,2012 – Urban Image Fine Homes is excited to announce the first custom home building application in North America; a state-of-the-art, interactive multi-touch display that will allow residential home builders to walk through their homes before they are built.
Utilizing custom View Booth, multi-touch technology from POSH View Inc., Urban Image Fine Homes’ clients will be able to virtually experience each and every room of their new home, viewing and approving floor-to-ceiling details before any construction takes place.
“The View Booth, multi-touch technology will greatly enhance our custom home building experience,” notes Tarik Aziz Owner of Urban Image Fine Homes. “It’s a great fit with our proven process for collaborating with both client and supplier to build high quality homes across Calgary.”
Recently launched by POSH View Inc., the View Booth multi-touch system leverages the latest advances in both laser-driven, high-definition projection technologies and thin, interactive multi-touch displays that can be cut to any size and placed on any flat surface, from floors to walls to ceilings and even mirrors. The flexibility, programmability, and responsiveness behind the technology make it an ideal fit for home building simulations as well as home lifestyle solutions.
“While product samples, swatches, or even high quality renders are great tools,” says CoOwner, Urban Image Fine Homes, Lee Yousef, “allowing the client to virtually walk through a life-size simulation before they commit to their investment not only removes the anxiety of the unknown, it ensures that we have done our best to create a home they’ll love.”
Future evolutions of the POSH VIEW, VIEW Booth, multi-touch technology will allow clients and designers to auto populate walls, floors, and ceilings with new products, fixtures and styles so that homes can literally be built on the fly.
POSH VIEW’S, VIEW Booth multi-touch technology takes users one step closer to a life like experience that allows virtual walk-throughs of physical spaces giving them full control of their virtual environment. For example the POSH VIEW, VIEW Booth is being utilized by Custom Home Builder; Urban Image Fine Homes to allow their clients the opportunity to tour their home before it is built. The VIEW Booth displays will be populated with a variety of Urban Image’s top quality product samples, swatches, fixtures and finishes that will allow clients to choose and experience virtual life-size simulations with a simple touch.
POSH VIEW’s multi-touch display technology is not only available to home builders during the design phase, these interactive screens can be incorporated into their final home, providing interactive surfaces anywhere they desire. From countertops and appliances to floors, windows, and entire walls to create a next level in home interactivity. Furthermore, these interactive surfaces can adapt to the needs of individual users and provide personalized content. People will be able to choose a virtual beach image to wake up to, check their schedule, traffic, and weather – all before getting out of bed in the morning.
Important design decisions but they will also be able to install the screens in their own homes, how and wherever they want to. Wether on walls, or windows, counter tops and even on appliances, homeowners will be able to create a fully interactive home that adjusts to each and every individual need depending on who is in the room. Lifestyle components and interfaces can be programmed for customized needs. People will be able to decide on what virtual beach image they may want to wake up to, check their schedule, traffic and weather, all before getting out of bed in the morning.
