KATHELEY’S is the first e©auctions platform dedicated to the world of fashion collections, French haute couture and particularly vintage haute couture jewelry. Katheley’s is evaluating its first quarter’s activity. Three Theme auctions have been covered: ¡°the Sixties¡± at the end of April, Unique couture jewels in May and ¡°the Seventies¡± in June. Each last week of the month, the site was also presenting a special ¡°Luxury vintage week¡± of more eclectic sales.

For these first sales, KATHELEY’S has attracted collectors and (inter)national buyers from Belgium, Mexico, Hong©Kong,¡­ Especially the vintage haute couture jewels were snuffed and mainly the jewels made by Roger Jean©Pierre of which models created for Christian Dior, Balenciaga or Yves Saint Laurent. The prices of the sales oscillated between 1200 and 5500 euros.

In order to highlight design and creation, couture jewelry designers and artists have the possibility to open their own gallery on Katheley’s. This gallery represents a kind of business card of their know©how on the basis of unique creations sold by auction on Katheley’s.

Didier LUDOT: haute couture clothing © accessories and sketches Didier LUDOT’s store is located in the gardens of the Palais Royal in Paris. He is widely recognised as an haute couture expert from the 1900s to the present. Didier LUDOT also occasionally organises exhibitions (L’Esprit Dior in 2005). Based on his impressive personal collection, Didier LUDOT will regularly highlight different periods, couture designers, styles,¡­ on KATHELEY’S. Patrick and Godelieve SIGAL: artists’ and haute couture jewellery Patrick and Godelieve SIGAL are collectors and experts. Their store is situated at 16, Gal¨¦rie du Roi in Brussels. Patrick SIGAL (Ciel mes Bijoux !) helped create the eye©opening exhibition Les Paruriers ¨C Bijoux de la Haute Couture ? at Grand©Hornu in 2006©2007, for which he edited the catalogue published by the Mercator Fund. Deanna FARNETI CERA: twentieth©century costume jewellery Deanna FARNETI CERA has her own gallery Ornamenti d’Autore in Milan and is an expert specialised in the history of costume jewellery. In 1991, Deanna FARNETI CERA created the first major international exhibition on costume jewellery, with funding by Swarovski ¨C Jewels of Fantasy ¨C Costume Jewellery of the 20th Century which has been presented during 5 years in the most important museums of the world.
